Exceptional essay. You have packed a lot of informative resources into this post that I can't wait to explore. The world is gradually awakening to the inestimable damage and carnage that our own governments have inflicted on all of us. I think even the normies are starting to have their eyes opened by the USAID colonoscopy by DOGE and by those members of Congress who are fighting transparancy.
The USAID thing has been amazing. They foment color revolutions around the world, and probably we’re behind the blm/Antifa riots. At the time I wondered who was organizing it. The would have been a force for taking down Trump.
Bird flu seems to be making a comeback, just in time for the new vaccine. A CBS News report mentioned a boy who was recovering from the latest version. The kid said he was happy that he got the vaccine or he would have been sicker. How mentally sick are these vaccine addicts? Very sick.
A boy in one of the other Five Eyes (aka, outsourced domestic spying) nations, I can't remember which country off the top of my head, was in a commercial getting the jab at five yrs old. A few yrs later he was in the news again...for having died.
So profoundly evil what the monsters have been doing to people.
Interesting but scary. I don't know the answer to your last question, but chemical warfare is somehow especially heinous. The Puritans gave the Indians blankets infested with Smallpox. As you referenced, England turned China into an Opium den. Now we have COVID and fentanyl.
Just a reminder: the big legal cannabis grow operations in the PNW were largely funded by Wall St. hedge fund and other speculators.
As they were being built I knew various trades guys who worked for companies contracted to design and build the water, electrical, etc., systems. Their management saw the payout records/sources.
So blaming it all on Muh Government strikes me as inaccurate at best. There is MONEY in keeping people drugged up (by prescription or illicitly), and speculators follow money wherever it goes. It's governments that enslave taxpayers to cover the bills for/consequences of the externalized consequences.
And I'd join you in apportioning some blame (or whatever) there. A lot of those contractors' employers get all manner of federal bling for different parts of their businesses.
It's fashionable at present to whizz up the leg of USAID employees laid off, or whatever. (The memetic campaigns are herding people in that direction.) But if you removed government bling entirely, a huge portion of the so-called "private" sector would crash down.
Turning the supertanker is going to take more than Alisa Rosenbaum memes, and simply attacking entire sectors of labor is no more virtuous, in my eyes, when done to those who did it to my people. I mean, there's Schadenfreude to be had. But that's not what builds a better system.
Of course I'm jaded from decades in and around ag. And watching "public private partnerships" take down multiple excellent formerly public research universities, and put their programs in the pockets of speculators/GloboCorps. And watching everyone turn a blind eye to the PRC/CCP sending people in to steal from farmers' fields "identity protected" germplasm developed on the wallet of US taxpayers. Which US farmers have to pay licensing fees to use, and can be taken to jail if Monsanto gets their garter belts in a twist. Because to expand their markets, Monsanto etc., need those PRC/CCP mouths to feed, but can't count on being able to write "IP" rentier contracts........but now I'm being tiresome so will stop.
Thank you for the mention!

"USAID colonoscopy" - love the phrase.

Sick and dangerous.

Of course I’m aware of the money angle, and I don’t believe I blamed it all on government. Only that it has always been an element of conflict.
Roger that.

Thanks, David.
Good point.
