For the very few who might not know this famous old tale, two con men approach an emperor and talk him into letting them make him a set a special clothes, so special that only the best and wisest of people could see them; to everyone else they would be invisible. The emperor hired them and they set to work pretending to make the clothes, after which he ended up parading around in undies with nearly the entire populous pretending that he was fully dressed. The moral, of course, is that people will do a lot to not be seen as sub par, and often they lack the smarts to spot a con.
It seems like many people continue to go through life as high school kids wanting to be in the in club. They would be happier if they could forget about it, and the world would be a better place, but they don't. Since they want to be members of the in club they will profess to believe most anything, often not realizing how they look.
It seems as though the entire country, and much of the world, are all busily raving over a walk-in closet full of invisible duds, just to be in that club. It behooves all of us to be the ones to say, “hey, that guy is woefully under dressed.”
One's sex, is set by the number of X and Y chromosomes one has. As we learned in high school biology, females have two X sex chromosomes while males have an X and a Y. If you want to be in the in club you must profess that men can give birth, a man can become a woman, and a woman can become a man. What they say these days is that, while your sex is set, your gender is not. This sounds like destroying lives for fun and profit. Fun, because you can look down on and mock the simple minded rubes, profit by gaming the political system. Whenever someone expects you to use their pronouns it would be a good time to tell them that the emperor has no clothes.
Of course it doesn't stop there. We are oscillating between ice ages and warm periods, with it presently warming, leading up to another eventual probable ice age, but if you don't believe that the warming is due to human activity, and requires a socialist totalitarian nightmare to fix it, you are as bad as those who can't see the clothes.
Then we have January 6. If you don't believe that a group of unarmed middle aged people walking the corridors are an armed insurrection you are an ignoramus. The thought that the ancient technique of using false flag operations might have occurred on the other side of the building marks you as unenlightened. If you think that attacking the White House, setting fire to a nearby church is as bad or worse, you are just a dope, not to mention rioters burning and looting cities all over the country. You must profess your belief that they were not orchestrated but were the result of understandable rage of the oppressed. Again, tactfully point out that they are the ones pretending to see the clothes.
"The simple step of a courageous individual is not to take part in the lie. One word of truth outweighs the world." ~ Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
"The simple act of an ordinary courageous man is not to take part, not to support lies! Let that come into the world and even reign over it, but not through me. Writers and artists can do more: they can vanquish lies! ... Lies can stand up against much in the world, but not against art." ~ Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
A failure to call out the the lies here means letting the emperor parade around endlessly, and he's been at it for some time. There is a problem in that those praising the emperor's clothes are ubiquitous, rich, powerful and arrogant. The journalism industry wouldn't point out a naked emperor if there expense accounts depended on it, and academia is a virtual ant hill of the not wanting to be sub par. Fortunately for the rest of us, the price of arrogance is foolishness.
Since we all learned this story in grade school, what on Earth is wrong with them? They must know that virtually everyone knows the story and can see the parallels. Journalists at one time prided themselves on having independent minds and learned early on an important point; don't let them snow you. But then, that was before most journalists came from university journalism schools, and had some life experience. The rule now seems to be that the more they snow you the better, and we will take pride in being buried in a snowdrift.
Of course, it isn't just a matter of people being foolish, lives are being destroyed. Children are having their bodies mutilated, never to have children. Power mad politicians are allowed to madly acquire power, moving the country toward a totalitarian nightmare. Riots are allowed to storm on unabated, but anyone defending himself or his property is prosecuted while the perpetrators are set free.
People are understandably fearful of speaking out since they might lose friends, their jobs or be the victims of lawfare. (Being retired, I have it relatively easy.) Still, we might be able to undermine the psy-op with humor. I often tell people to make “woke jokes,” the idea being that jokes can proliferate in an exponential fashion until they are suddenly everywhere. (Exponential means the rate of increase or decrease of said variable is proportional to it's value. Some people just use the term to mean “a whole bunch”.)
Radical leftist Saul Alinsky came up with a set of rules to be used by leftists in their battles to create a leftist utopian nightmare by any means necessary.
On Alinsky: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saul_Alinsky
While some leftists may have altruistic motives I think the majority are in it for the power. They don't realize that, should they succeed in fomenting a Communist revolution, they would be the first to be lined up and shot.
Now, however, it is we the normal Americans, who are the radicals. The FBI has decided that MAGA is the greatest threat to domestic tranquility, and that Trump supporters are dangerous extremists. As the rules are meant for extremists, and that's us, let's take a look at them:
Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have
Never go outside the experience of your people.
Whenever possible, go outside the experience of the enemy.
Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.
Ridicule is man's most potent weapon
A good tactic is one your people enjoy.
A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag.
Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period.
The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself.
Maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.
If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside.
The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.
Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it.
For normal American, with jobs, families and responsibilities, the most useful one is probably “Ridicule is man's most potent weapon”, hence the idea of woke jokes. Ridiculing the ideas that are being promulgated, not generally individuals, is useful.
Incidentally, I wrote a short essay on Alinsky's thoughts of how to create a socialist state.

When people who support America as founded are castigated as “far right,” the castigators should be laughed at, it is an absurd allegation and should be treated as such. You might ask them for the color of the emperor's clothes.
Blonde jokes can be found on the internet in great abundance. While blondes are not deserving of being laughed at, the woke and the Left are. Many of the jokes can be repurposed with minimal tweeking and changing “blonde” to “woke” guy or gal. The same goes for ordinary jokes which might start out, “ A woke guy walks into a bar....”
Returning to our main theme, it is a matter of the emperor's new clothes and somehow getting through to people that they are cheering an either unclothed buffoon or a con man. Since no one wants to be seen as out of it, it's time to use that fear against them.
"Many people, especially ignorant people, want to punish you for speaking the truth, for being correct, for being you. Never apologize for being correct, or for being years ahead of your time. If you’re right and you know it, speak your mind. Speak your mind. Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is still the truth." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
Stay brave, stay free.
Just found your work - great stuff! In this article, what do you think Alinksy meant by "Never go outside the experience of your people.
Whenever possible, go outside the experience of the enemy."? I don't get that.
