I drive BMW's that I paid 25%-30% of what the previous owner did with about 80K on the clock. Both were 6 years old when I purchased them. And our older 1960's home has been remodeled by myself as it isn't rocket science. I'm a retired plumber by trade. I don't save much because I hate to see the value of my savings go down so rapidly so I purchase "things" that maintain their value in the face of inflation.
Did you know that gasoline in 1964 was .25 cents and you could have bought it with a silver quarter dollar coin? Well today I can purchase TWO gallons for that same .25 quarter dollar of silver. They simply want the next generations of people to be as dumbed down and incapable of independent critical thinking as possible. They want compliers.

They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. that's against their interests.
That's right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they’re getting f&$#%d by a system that threw them overboard 30 f&@&@%$g years ago. They don’t want that!
You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shitty jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it. The eighth grade test was not just rote learning, the knowledge had to be applied to demonstrate how the knowledge would be useful.
Where examples were required such a requirement didn't just stop a a couple of examples. No multi guess questions.
A student getting a high score would feel proud and know that it wasn't just a subjective marking system.
Employers would know what abilities they were getting.
