Entering a mall today for the first time in years, only bc I had to pick up something for someone, I kept thinking what would I do, where would I duck, if a random person started shooting? Being alert should be a constant thought in these perilous times.

And in not so perilous times, too.

Yes Dawn, with the recent mall attacks, I think many become vigilant when there. The difficulty I see is staying alert when in familiar, routine situations. Even going out to check the mail in your own yard is so routine we sometimes have tunnel vision.

I'm thinking we need to be hyper alert for the next year as any number of pitfalls may lie ahead. Be safe!

Thank you for covering such important and timely topics, David.

I think this topic is exceptionally important right now. I think it is too easy to become complacent in the afterglow of the massive election victory on Nov. 5, 2024. While we are seeing the things we have longed for being at long last being planned and put into place, it is easy to be lulled into a false sense of security, particularly between now and Jan. 20, 2025, but even after that.

We must remain on full alert, as the enemy has lost a huge battle and is regrouping. We won the latest battle, which can put us on the footing to win the war on humanity, but we are still in that war.

Desperate men are capable of anything. Especially if those desperate men (and women) are alcohol/other psychoactive drug addicts, which many of them are. Because addicts are capable of any atrocity.

Thank you for the reminder, David. Deep Introverts are especially susceptible to being unaware of their surroundings, as we are so often lost in thought. Perhaps that is why there are so few of us--our personality types did not do well in the jungle.

I plan on doing better. After all, our survival is at stake. And as I point out elsewhere, desperate alcoholics (which many of those seeking power over others are) can commit any vile atrocity.

Are you really old enough to remember that greeting card? Cover page: Be Alert! Inside page: The world needs more Lerts. I remember that from Jr. High or High School. We laughed our butts off at that one.

I remember one with the outside picture being a view of the Earth from lunar orbit, and there was a bright spot on the Earth. Inside it said, “Your birthday cake as seen from the moon.”
